Arcfox Enters Colombia With Three Electric Models: T1, T5 and S5

BAIC's electric brand makes its Colombian debut with a city-focused compact SUV, a roomier family SUV and a sporty fastback sedan.

Arcfox, the electric-vehicle marque owned by China's BAIC Group, has kicked off its Colombian debut with a three-model, fully electric lineup: the T1, a city-oriented compact SUV; the T5, a larger and more powerful SUV; and the S5, a sporty fastback sedan. All three share LFP battery chemistry, a 400-volt electrical architecture and an extensive suite of driver-assistance features.

The entry-level T1 uses a 70 kW (94 hp) permanent-magnet motor and a 42.4 kWh battery rated for up to 375 km on the NEDC cycle. It accepts up to 89 kW of DC charging, goes from 30 to 80 percent in about 16 minutes on a 50 kW charger, and can even push energy into a second electric car via a vehicle-to-vehicle function. Launch pricing is set at 99,990,000 pesos.

Sitting a class above, the T5 delivers 182 kW (248 hp) and pairs its 65 kWh pack with 475 km of NEDC range (405 km WLTP). Equipment highlights include a 68-inch augmented-reality head-up display, 22 perimeter sensors and vehicle-to-load output for powering external devices; it starts at 144,990,000 pesos.

The S5 sedan completes the range with a standout drag coefficient of 0.1925 Cd, a 0-100 km/h sprint of 7 seconds and a 180 km/h top speed. Its 65 kWh battery promises up to 450 km WLTP with DC charging at up to 150 kW, while the cabin adds a 15-speaker, 7.1-channel audio system. All three models carry an eight-year battery warranty in Colombia.
