Arcfox, the electric marque owned by BAIC Group, has opened sales of the Alpha T7, a mid-to-large five-seat SUV offered in both extended-range and all-electric form. Nine variants carry subsidized launch pricing of 132,800 yuan (about $19,640) to 168,800 yuan, with the entry point sitting 5,000 yuan under the pre-sale figure announced in late August.
Demand has been brisk: cumulative pre-sale orders had passed 60,000 before the debut, and the company says firm orders topped 30,000 within the first hour alone. Stretched past five meters on a 3,040-mm wheelbase with a coupe-style roofline, the SUV targets family buyers. EV versions ride on an 800-volt silicon-carbide platform, use a 227-kW motor, and deliver CLTC ranges of 650 or 715 km, gaining 270 km from ten minutes of fast charging. The EREVs pair a 1.5-liter generator with a 200-kW motor for 320 km of electric-only running and 1,315 km of combined range. CATL supplies the cells across the lineup.
Four Qiankun Edition trims add Huawei's Qiankun ADS 5 Pro, built around 27 sensors including a concealed LiDAR, for highway and urban navigation-assisted driving. The cabin brings a 17.3-inch central touchscreen, a 1.1-meter-wide panoramic head-up display, and AI features drawing on Alibaba's Qwen and ByteDance's Doubao models.
The model enters one of China's most crowded segments, lining up against similarly priced competitors such as the Leapmotor C16 and BYD's Sealion 06.
