Chery Australia has recalled 1,936 Tiggo 4 Hybrid SUVs built between 2025 and 2026. Software controlling the evaporative emissions system’s valve may prevent it from working as intended, potentially leaving affected vehicles short of Australian emissions requirements.
The recall does not cover petrol-powered Tiggo 4 models. Chery says the defect does not affect vehicle performance and presents no safety hazard.
Owners will be contacted to arrange a free inspection and repair at a local dealership. The petrol Tiggo 4 was subject to a separate recall in February 2025 over an issue with the audible warning for its autonomous emergency braking system.
