Dongfeng Motor Corporation Limited counts as one of the backbone enterprises of China's automotive industry. It traces its origins to 1969, when it was established as the Second Automobile Manufacturing Plant, and is now headquartered in Wuhan, Hubei Province. The company reports total assets of 499.3 billion yuan, a workforce of roughly 127,000 people, and a placing of 188th among the world's top 500 companies.

Its business spans commercial vehicles, passenger cars, new-energy vehicles, assemblies, parts and related services.
