Li Auto has opened sales of the i9, the new flagship of its battery-electric lineup above the i6 and i8. First shown in July and revealed in six-seat form in early September, the big crossover received its full premiere this week and is offered in China in one heavily equipped trim called Home.
At 5,225 mm long with a 3,168 mm wheelbase, the i9 is noticeably bigger than both siblings and carries the family's minivan-leaning styling: vertical headlight blocks, a single taillight blade and a light strip at the base of the windshield that doubles as the DRLs and turn signals. Wheels measure 21 inches as standard, with 22-inch units optional.
Inside, the driver gets a two-spoke wheel and a head-up display instead of an instrument cluster, plus a single 29-inch touchscreen — a step up from the dual-panel unit in the i6 and i8. Rear passengers get a ceiling-mounted tablet, and the second-row seats swivel toward the rear via buttons or voice command. All six seats are heated, while the front two rows add leg rests, ventilation, massage and a "zero-gravity" mode; a pedestal table is standard, with a larger sliding table and a magnetic side table costing extra. A lidar-based driver-assist suite is standard, and an advanced four-lidar setup is optional.
Dual motors send 544 hp and 660 Nm to all four wheels through air suspension with rear-axle steering. The 101 kWh battery is rated at 705 km on the CLTC cycle, and fast charging can replenish up to 500 km of range in ten minutes. The sprint to 100 km/h takes 4.9 seconds, top speed is limited to 200 km/h, and the Home trim is priced at 369,800 yuan.
