GWM has set the recommended Russian price of the Wey V9X at 9,699,000 rubles. Sales are scheduled to begin in October through Tank dealerships. The version for Russia has a long wheelbase, six seats and air suspension; its minimum luggage capacity is 244 liters.

The plug-in hybrid pairs a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with two electric motors and produces a combined 598 hp and 862 Nm. A 55.4-kWh battery supports a claimed electric range of 270 km, while the stated total range is 1,217 km. The SUV is rated to reach 100 km/h from rest in 4.9 seconds.

Russian-market equipment includes a 31-speaker audio system, Nappa leather, a panoramic roof and heated and ventilated seats. Its two central screens measure 15.6 inches each, and the multimedia system includes Yandex services and VK Video.
