Wuling has locked in a fourth-quarter 2026 arrival in Vietnam for the Darion, its seven-seat MPV. A sand-yellow test car was recently photographed at an emissions-testing facility in Hanoi, a sign that homologation work is well underway ahead of launch.
Curiously, the Vietnamese test car wears mostly sealed wheels rather than the multi-spoke design sold in Indonesia, fueling speculation that local specifications could differ slightly, though a simple wheel-cover change seems just as plausible. Meanwhile, sales staff have reportedly been collecting deposits since mid-August, with a starting price anticipated at just over 700 million dong; no official figure has been announced.
Space is the Darion's headline attribute: 4,910 mm of length and a 2,910 mm wheelbase make it 155 mm longer than the Toyota Innova Cross with 60 mm more between the axles. It also features sliding rear doors, equipment more common on larger MPVs like the Kia Carnival, and a 2+2+3 cabin with second-row captain's chairs plus a 12.8-inch touchscreen.
Three versions appear on Wuling Vietnam's website: one plug-in hybrid and two electric variants rated at 450 km and 500 km, and dealers expect the EVs to arrive first. In China the same vehicle sells as the Xingguang 730, where the PHEV pairs a 1.5-liter engine with a 20.5 kWh battery for 125 km of CLTC electric range and roughly 1,100 km overall, while the EV carries a 60 kWh pack.
