“I am a mother now and aim to do the best I can for my children despite having an empty experience from my own mother. I applaud those who are fortunate enough to have had great childhoods and good relationships with their mothers (both birth and adoptive) however there are many for whom 'mother's day' is a very painful time and thus I would like to see more sensitivity and empathy and less publicity and commercialization about the 'day'”
