BYD Cars Malaysia has marked Malaysia Day with a special version of the Sealion 7 Performance, finished in a Hibiscus Red exterior colour that references the country's national flower. Production is capped at just 16 units, and each is priced at RM197,800 — RM6,000 below what the standard 2026 Performance cost when it launched locally.
Underneath the new paint, the mechanical package is untouched. A dual-motor all-wheel-drive system combines a 313 PS/380 Nm rear motor with a 218 PS/310 Nm front unit for a combined 530 PS and 690 Nm, enabling a 0-100 km/h time of 4.5 seconds. The 2026 facelift's 91.3 kWh Blade LFP battery provides 502 km of WLTP range, up from the 454 km offered by the pre-facelift car's 82.5 kWh pack.
Cabin and safety equipment also carry over from the regular Performance, including a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 15.6-inch rotating central touchscreen, a 50-inch augmented-reality head-up display, a 12-speaker Dynaudio sound system, a kick-activated hands-free tailgate, 50-watt wireless charging and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Nine airbags and a full ADAS suite are on board, while luggage space measures 520 litres, expanding to 1,789 litres with the rear seats folded.
