Denza has released additional official images and promotional videos of its new N8 SUV as it prepares the model for a Chinese market launch before the end of 2026. The BYD-owned brand first began revealing the vehicle over the summer. Unlike the six-seat N8L, the new N8 is a five-seat electric SUV, according to preliminary information.

The N8 measures 5,150 mm long, 1,999 mm wide and 1,820 mm tall, with a 3,075 mm wheelbase. Its length is 50 mm less than the N8L, while the other dimensions match. Design details include paired daytime running lights in shared housings, a single rear light bar and semi-concealed door handles. The cabin has a long, narrow instrument display near the windshield and a large multimedia screen. Seat features include heating, ventilation, massage and fold-out leg rests; the model is also shown with a lidar-equipped driver-assistance system.

Denza is expected to offer rear-wheel drive with either 435 or 503 hp, or a three-motor all-wheel-drive version rated at 1,210 hp. Chinese media report battery options of 106 kWh and 130.15 kWh. For context, the six-seat N8L is currently offered as a 503-hp rear-drive EV with a 130.15-kWh battery, as well as in hybrid form; its electric version arrived in September 2026. The N8L starts at 299,800 yuan. The earlier N8, launched in 2023 as a facelifted Denza X based on the previous BYD Tang, was later dropped from the lineup after weak sales.
