GAC Aion plans to present the UT Cross in Thailand at the Motor Expo in December 2026. The five-door hatchback, styled with crossover cues and 20 mm more ground clearance than the standard UT, was shown at the Paris Motor Show on October 12, 2026. It was developed by GAC’s Milan Design Center.
Changes include roof rails, redesigned front and rear bumpers with silver lower trim, a black tailgate impact strip and gloss-black 17-inch alloy wheels. The tires grow from 215/55 R17 to 225/55 R17. Inside, the UT Cross gets seats combining leather and fabric, plus yellow accent trim. The wider tires may slightly reduce driving range, according to the report.
GAC had not specified the Cross’s powertrain at its Paris presentation. The article points to the regular UT as a possible reference: its Standard version has a 50.27 kWh battery, 136 PS, front-wheel drive and a stated NEDC range of 420 km; the Premium uses a 60 kWh battery, produces 204 PS and is rated for 500 km. Those figures are for the existing UT, not confirmed Cross specifications. The standard UT’s Thai prices are 519,900–619,900 baht; pricing for the Cross remains unknown.
