IM Motors, SAIC Motor’s electric-vehicle brand, launched the next-generation LS6 in China on September 24. The five-seat SUV is offered in three all-electric trims, priced after incentives at 197,900 yuan for the Max, 217,900 yuan for the Pro Max and 259,900 yuan for the Ultra. Official guide prices run from 202,900 yuan to 264,900 yuan. The entry price matches that of the previous electric LS6 generation, which went on sale in September 2025. Buyers who ordered during the presale period can receive another 3,000-yuan cash discount; the company said the new model attracted over 8,000 presale orders in its first 45 minutes.
The LS6 measures 4,937 mm long, 1,988 mm wide and 1,671 mm high, with a 2,960-mm wheelbase. Every version has steer-by-wire, four-wheel steering and IM’s Lingxi Digital Chassis 3.0, as well as an 800-volt electrical platform. The Ultra adds air suspension and adaptive damping, and has a stated minimum turning radius of 4.49 meters.
Rear-wheel-drive Max and Pro Max models produce 245 kW and 300 kW, respectively. The all-wheel-drive Ultra delivers 500 kW from two motors. Battery capacities are 76, 93 and 103 kWh, paired with CLTC ranges of 650, 782 and 750 km. The quickest version accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 3.48 seconds. Charging from 10% to 80% takes 16.8 to 20.3 minutes, depending on trim.
The model also offers LiDAR-based driver assistance, a 27.1-inch dual-screen display and a 15.6-inch passenger screen. IM Motors is pitching the LS6 against the Tesla Model Y, Zeekr 7X, Xiaomi YU7, Luxeed R7 and Li Auto L6 in China’s crowded five-seat SUV segment.
