The October 2026 edition of CAR magazine is now on sale, and its cover belongs to an exclusive early look at the Volkswagen Tengo — a compact crossover/SUV built in South Africa and slated to reach the local market in 2027.
The drives section packs several more exclusives. The team grabbed a first taste of the Ford Ranger Super Duty on home soil ahead of its 2027 arrival, sampled the value-focused, all-electric Chery Q hatchback and the refreshed Ford Everest Sport around Cape Town, and flew to Italy to drive the Lamborghini Urus SE Performante.
Four vehicles faced the magazine's instrumented road-test regimen this month: the Mercedes-Benz CLA200 with EQ Technology, the Kia Seltos 1.5T-GDi GT-Line S, the Tata Osprey Creative+ PS, and the Kia Tasman 2.2D 4WD X-Pro.
