Leapmotor has added a range-extender version of the B10 to its Brazilian lineup, with the SUV now reaching dealerships at R$179,990. That is R$3,000 less than the all-electric B10, which arrived in April at R$182,990. The REEV also gains several features over the EV, including power-adjustable front seats with cooling, a power tailgate and a 12-speaker audio system. Leapmotor’s larger C10 has already shown strong demand for this drivetrain: 75.5% of its sales are REEV versions, according to the article.

The B10’s rear wheels are driven by a 218-hp electric motor producing 24.5 kgfm of torque. A naturally aspirated 1.5-liter petrol engine makes 88 hp, but it serves only as a generator and cannot drive the wheels. The LFP battery is smaller than the EV’s, at 18.8 kWh, giving the REEV an Inmetro-rated electric range of 68 km. Total range is listed at 900 km under WLTP; the article notes that Inmetro does not have a measurement method for range-extender vehicles.

The SUV supports CCS2 charging. A 6.6-kW AC charge takes about three and a half hours, while a 46-kW DC charger can take the battery from 30% to 80% in 18 minutes. The added fuel tank holds 50 liters and reduces luggage capacity from the EV’s 405 liters to 350 liters. Leapmotor quotes a 0–100 km/h time of 7.8 seconds.

In its first drive, the publication found the car’s acceleration and rear-wheel-drive character close to the electric version, with the petrol generator subdued in the cabin. It also flagged the card-based key and the reliance on the touchscreen for many controls as drawbacks. At R$179,990, the B10 REEV sits above the smaller Toyota Yaris Cross XRE Hybrid and below the BYD Song Pro, both cited as alternatives in Brazil.
