Xpeng says its Mona L05 extended-range electric crossover covered 1,194.2 km without recharging or refueling during a road test in China. The vehicle travelled from Guangzhou to Wenzhou on the G228 highway, taking 23 hours and 14 minutes. The test was conducted in “Ultra Power Saving Mode,” with most non-driving functions switched off and climate control set to 24°C. Xpeng did not provide the car’s speed; footage showed it mostly travelling at 50–80 km/h.

The L05 first drove 252.7 km using battery power, averaging 11.7 kWh per 100 km, before its range-extender engine started. The EREV version has a stated CLTC electric range of 310 km, compared with an estimated 251 km under WLTP. Across the full test, reported energy consumption was 2.5 kWh per 100 km and fuel consumption was 3.7 litres per 100 km. The total distance represented 94.77% of the model’s claimed CLTC range.

The EREV is equipped with a 183 kW rear electric motor, a 37.2 kWh LFP battery and a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine. The L05 was available for pre-order in China at 169,800–191,800 yuan (about US$25,430–28,720). A battery-electric version is also offered, with the same motor output, a 71.1 kWh LFP battery and a claimed CLTC range of 615–660 km. The model measures 4,870 mm long and has a 2,940 mm wheelbase.
