Xpeng has opened pre-sales in China for the Mona L05, a new mid-size SUV offered in pure-electric and extended-range (EREV) forms. Prices for its five configurations run from 169,800 to 191,800 yuan (about $25,300 to $28,600). The company plans to launch the model on October 29.
The EV uses a 183 kW motor and a 71.1 kWh LFP battery. Its four listed CLTC range options are 615, 635, 640 and 660 km. The EREV pairs a 70 kW 1.5-liter engine with the same-output electric motor and a 37.2 kWh battery; Xpeng lists 310 km of CLTC electric-only range and 1,310 km of combined range. The L05 measures 4,870 mm long, 1,930 mm wide and 1,636 mm tall, with a 2,940 mm wheelbase.
Cabin equipment includes a 17.3-inch central display, a 26.8-inch head-up display and heated rear seats; the front seats also offer massage, heating and ventilation. Cargo capacity is 702 liters, expanding to 1,913 liters, and a 102-liter front trunk is included. Xpeng says cumulative deliveries across the Mona series have topped 350,000 in the two years since the range began.
