Yangwang has offered a first look at a new flagship sedan known internally as HU. Images posted by brand executives show a large car with rear-hinged rear doors and a formal design that recalls some Rolls-Royce models. Its split-level lighting also echoes the Yangwang U8 SUV.
The car’s powertrain has not been announced. Chinese media have speculated that it could use solid-state batteries, but BYD has said the technology is not yet ready for mass-market use. Yangwang sits above BYD’s Denza brand and currently sells the U7, U8 and U9.
