BYD has released official images of the second-generation Seal 07, a mid-to-large sedan styled under its Ocean Aesthetics 2.0 design language. It gains a closed front grille, split headlights and a full-width rear light bar. A roof-mounted lidar hints at driver-assistance hardware, while BYD has not confirmed the system details in the information provided.
The new car measures 5,080 mm long and 1,960 mm wide, with a 2,960 mm wheelbase. Those figures are increases of 85 mm, 50 mm and 60 mm respectively over the current model; height remains 1,495 mm. Wheel choices include 18- and 19-inch designs.
The PHEV pairs a 1.5-liter turbo engine rated at 115 kW with a 160 kW electric motor and a 38.029 kWh LFP battery. Its stated electric-only range is 245 km under the WLTC cycle. The BEV has a 300 kW motor, a claimed top speed of 240 km/h and up to 718 km of WLTP range. BYD delivered 1,005 current-generation Seal 07s, including both powertrain types, in August 2026.
