BYD says the Da Han flagship sedan represents the 10 millionth vehicle produced for its Dynasty lineup. The model is scheduled to launch on October 13 and sits above the existing Han, joining the Da Tang SUV in the brand’s push into higher-priced segments.
Pre-sales for the Da Han EV began in August. Its two rear-wheel-drive versions are priced from 249,900 to 299,900 yuan across the range; the rear-drive models are rated for up to 1,008 km, while the all-wheel-drive version is rated at 880 km. BYD has also sought regulatory approval for a plug-in hybrid variant.
Dynasty sales reached 170,842 vehicles in August, up 13.88% year on year for a third straight month of growth. January-to-August sales totaled 1,045,805, still 13.15% below the same period last year.
