BYD says 110,000 of its new-energy vehicles are now on the road in Indonesia. Liu Xueliang, a BYD vice-president and head of its Asia-Pacific auto sales division, shared the figure at a Flash Charging technology launch in Jakarta on October 14, 2026, and thanked Indonesian customers for their support.

Liu also pointed to demand for BYD’s DM plug-in hybrid technology, introduced in Indonesia in May. The company says it delivered more than 4,000 M6 DM vehicles to local customers during the first three months after the technology’s introduction. BYD is expanding its local retail and service presence alongside its product range, and reports that it now has 100 showrooms across the country.

The company is also building local production capacity at its facility in Subang, West Java. Liu said construction was completed in September 2026 and described the site as an advanced, large-scale vehicle production facility. He said it would provide more than 5,000 jobs in Indonesia. The update combines BYD’s reported vehicle presence and recent PHEV deliveries with its expanding showroom network and manufacturing investment in the market.
