BYD is offering THB 100,000 off two versions of its Seal 5 DM-i plug-in hybrid in Thailand during a Golden Weekend campaign on October 17–18, 2026. The Thailand-assembled Standard falls from THB 599,900 to THB 499,900, while the Premium drops from THB 699,900 to THB 599,900. The Dynamic remains priced at THB 659,900 and is not part of the promotion.

The Standard and Dynamic use a 13.08-kWh battery and are rated for 85 km of electric-only driving under the NEDC test cycle. The Premium has an 18.3-kWh battery, with a stated electric range of 120 km and a combined petrol-and-electric range of more than 1,000 km, also under NEDC. All three versions pair a 1.5-liter Atkinson-cycle petrol engine with an electric motor for a combined 218 hp and 300 Nm, and drive the front wheels. AC charging is supported at up to 6.6 kW, and vehicle-to-load output reaches 2.2 kW.

The offer includes a six-year or 150,000-km vehicle warranty and an eight-year or 160,000-km high-voltage battery warranty. BYD’s listed package also includes lifetime battery coverage, eight years of roadside assistance, one year of comprehensive insurance and compulsory coverage, plus accessories such as a portable AC charger and V2L cable.

The Seal 5 measures 4,780 mm long, making it larger than the Toyota Yaris ATIV and Honda City sedans that the article identifies as its Thai-market competitors. The report also lists the Toyota Corolla Altis and Honda Civic as size comparisons.
