BYD plans to unveil a new model at the Guangzhou Auto Show, which runs from November 27 to December 6, and the car is expected to be the next-generation Han sedan. Lu Tian, head of BYD’s Dynasty sales division, announced the show debut on Weibo without identifying the vehicle. The new Han has already appeared in China’s October 16 vehicle filings.

The filings list three battery-electric versions and one plug-in hybrid, each with five seats. The sedan measures 5,156 mm long, 1,969 mm wide and has a 3,030 mm wheelbase—161 mm longer overall and 110 mm longer between the axles than the Han EV flash-charging edition introduced in April. The electric lineup includes two rear-wheel-drive configurations rated at 245 kW and 300 kW, plus an all-wheel-drive version with a combined 520 kW. The plug-in hybrid pairs a 1.5-liter turbo engine with a 200 kW drive motor.

The model is distinct from the larger Da Han, launched in October with a starting price of 235,900 yuan ($35,110). The update comes as Han sales remain weak: 6,566 units sold in October, down 52.11% year over year, while sales for the first 10 months reached 50,890, a 67.39% decline. BYD’s Dynasty lineup, meanwhile, sold 203,040 vehicles in October, its first monthly total above 200,000 this year. The company is also preparing the third-generation Tang SUV for a fourth-quarter launch.
