BYD has introduced the Ti7 plug-in hybrid SUV in Argentina, where it is priced at US$59,990. The company’s local range now includes a large, D-segment model measuring more than five metres long, positioned around premium comfort and off-road versatility. The quoted price is equivalent to about R$304,300.

The Ti7 is the first BYD model in Argentina to use the brand’s DM-p “Dual Mode Powerful” plug-in hybrid architecture. Its intelligent all-wheel-drive system combines for a claimed 354 hp and 64 kgfm of torque. BYD Argentina cites a total driving range of up to 1,015 km under the NEDC test cycle, alongside an electric-only range of 115 km, also measured on NEDC. The company reports fuel consumption of 16.9 km per litre.

BYD says the launch comes after its first year in Argentina, during which it has passed 12,000 customers. The Ti7 is intended to broaden the brand’s local offer into the premium SUV segment and attract a wider group of buyers. The source says the model is not currently being considered for sale in Brazil.
