BYD has launched the Great Han EV, also referred to as Da Han EV, as its new flagship sedan in China. The model comes in three configurations: two rear-wheel-drive versions and one all-wheel-drive version. Prices start at 235,900 yuan, equivalent to about 912,800,000 Vietnamese dong, according to the report.
The sedan measures 5,256mm long, 1,999mm wide and 1,510mm tall, with a 3,130mm wheelbase. Its standard rear-wheel steering helps reduce the minimum turning radius to 4.95 metres. BYD lists a drag coefficient of 0.197. Inside, equipment includes a 40-inch augmented-reality head-up display, a 17.3-inch 3K central screen, a 12.3-inch front-passenger display and a 31-speaker Devialet audio system. The front and rear seats offer heating, ventilation and 10-point massage; rear passengers also get powered footrests, a folding screen and a small table.
All versions use a 102.3kWh second-generation Blade battery and include BYD’s God’s Eye 5.0 driver-assistance system, DiSus-A dual-chamber air suspension and rear-wheel steering. The single-motor version produces 496hp and 500Nm, reaches 100km/h from rest in 4.9 seconds and has a claimed CLTC range of 1,008km. The dual-motor model delivers 764hp and 910Nm, covers the same sprint in 3.3 seconds and is rated for 880km. BYD says the fast-charging system can replenish the battery from 10% to 97% in nine minutes.
