Changan's Nevo Q06 opens for pre-orders in China with 800V architecture and sub-10-minute fast charging

Changan kicked off pre-sales for the Nevo (Qiyuan) Q06 on September 4 at its SDA Pilot technology conference, where the company's in-house end-to-end driving-assistance system of the same name also made its debut. Buyers who commit early pay from 147,900 yuan (roughly 21,800 USD), while the full pre-sale ladder spans nine variants from 149,900 to 191,900 yuan (22,000-28,200 USD), including a range-extender grade.

Every trim carries LiDAR under the SDA Pilot banner, which is offered in four compute tiers ranging from just over 100 TOPS to beyond 1,000 TOPS, with the Ultra grade adding a vision-language model. The crossover stretches 4,837 mm long on a 2,940 mm wheelbase, and its cabin brings a 15.6-inch rear entertainment display, ventilated, heated and massaging seats, a refrigerator and a Xiao'an AI assistant, plus a 196-litre front trunk and a 782-litre two-level rear cargo area.

Battery-electric versions ride on an 800V silicon-carbide platform that supports 6C charging, replenishing the pack from 30% to 80% in nine minutes. Output choices run from 225 kW and 245 kW single motors to a 330 kW dual-motor setup that reaches 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, while LFP packs supplied by CALB or CATL come in four sizes up to 80.02 kWh for as much as 700 km of electric range. The range-extender variant promises up to 1,600 km of combined range.

The Q06 lands as Changan's Nevo line builds momentum: August sales climbed 60.6% year on year to 45,885 units.
