Changan has begun official sales of the Nevo Q06 in China after opening pre-orders earlier this month. The SUV is offered as a battery-electric vehicle and an extended-range EV, with prices starting at 139,900 yuan (about $20,880). Changan is also targeting Middle East markets, though the source gives no launch date there.
The Q06’s Level 2+ driver-assistance system combines roof-mounted lidar, 11 cameras and three millimeter-wave radars. The company says the system can operate without the driver holding the steering wheel, but recommends keeping hands on it. The vehicle measures 4,837 mm long and has a 2,940 mm wheelbase.
Electric versions have claimed CLTC driving ranges of 602 to 700 km for single-motor models and up to 670 km for the dual-motor version. The extended-range model pairs a 1.5-liter gasoline engine-generator with electric motors and offers 200 km of CLTC-rated electric-only range. In China, the Q06 will compete with BYD’s Song Ultra.
