In Vietnam, the reader-voting stage of Car Choice Awards (CCA) 2026 has closed ahead of the official results announcement on October 4. The early tallies point to a broad field of electric and hybrid vehicles, with Chinese models appearing alongside Vietnamese, Japanese and Korean rivals in a range of categories. The vote indicates interest among participants, but is not the final award result.
VinFast’s VF 5 led the “Family car under VND600 million” category with 58,289 votes. Chinese models Geely EX2 and Lynk & Co 02 appeared among nominees for “Best-equipped new car,” while the Gen Z category included the VF 3 and EX2. The “Car for women” nominees were all electric: VinFast VF 3, VF 2 and VF 5, alongside Geely EX2 and Lynk & Co 02.
In the passenger-service vehicle category, VinFast Limo Green and BYD M6 were among the electric contenders. The M6 was temporarily in front after attracting nearly 84,000 votes. The article highlights its spacious cabin and BYD Blade battery, but provides no range figure. Hybrid nominees also featured across categories, including the Honda CR-V e:HEV RS, Volvo XC90, BYD M9, Jaecoo J5, Omoda C5 and Lynk & Co 900.
The awards gala is scheduled for October 4 at Vietnam’s National Convention Center. An outdoor display of around 60 top-five nominated vehicles is planned as part of the Vietnam Innovation Mobility Show, running October 3–4 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., with free public entry.
