Vietnam's October 16 launch day turned the previous week's previews into prices: Wuling and its distributor TMT Group introduced four electric models in Hanoi, and MG launched the GT and a hybrid ZS. The result is a price ladder that runs from VND 279 million to VND 750 million.
Wuling: four EVs from one event
At the Hanoi event, TMT Group and Wuling listed:
- Mini EV Macaron: VND 279 million for the 205 km version and VND 339 million for the 300 km version.
- Bingo 2026: VND 409 million, 469 million and 499 million for Base, Plus and Max, or VND 387 million, 429 million and 459 million after October promotions.
- Grango: a seven-seat MPV listed at VND 519 million, VND 487 million for pioneering customers, aimed at passenger-transport and shuttle operators.
- Darion: a seven-seat electric MPV from VND 750 million, Wuling's highest-end model in Vietnam.
MG: two launches
MG introduced the GT at VND 512 million (1.5 Luxury) and VND 586 million (1.5T Premium), with 50% registration-fee support during the launch period and a 10-year warranty. The new-generation ZS Hybrid is VND 668 million with VND 20 million in fuel support; MG plans to add eight dealerships. A Vietnamese comparison puts the ZS Hybrid+ against the Toyota Yaris Cross HEV, which costs VND 60 million more; it credits the MG with size and screen, the Toyota with ground clearance and fuel economy.
Pipeline, pricing and recognition
A separate report says more Chinese models are on the way, including small city EVs, seven-seat MPVs, a hybrid SUV and a sporty sedan, with no confirmed dates or prices. On Geely, low online asking prices for Monjaro and Coolray demos do not signal a broader clearance, according to the report. The Geely EX2 won Women's Car of the Year at the Car Choice Awards 2026.
What it means
- Wuling now spans VND 279 million to 750 million, with the MPVs positioned partly at transport operators.
- MG is pairing launches with registration-fee and fuel support, and adding dealers.
- Hybrid is the segment MG is entering with the ZS, against the Toyota benchmark.
