A Deepal S07 Max owner put the extended-range SUV through a 180 km round trip from Bucaramanga to Zapatoca in Colombia’s Santander department. The test followed more than 4,300 km of personal use since the car was bought in December 2025. Before setting off, the driver fully charged the battery and filled the fuel tank; the dashboard then projected 182 km of electric range and 789 km from the gasoline supply, or 970 km combined.

The S07’s 31.7 kWh battery powers the drive motor, while its 1.5-liter gasoline engine acts as a generator rather than driving the wheels. Output is 234 hp and 320 Nm, sent to the rear wheels. The vehicle offers Eco, Normal and Sport driving modes, plus Urban, Mountain and Highway powertrain settings. The owner says that regular charging makes it possible to use electric power for city trips and go as long as two months without refueling.

For the mountain route, the driver selected Mountain mode, which prioritizes electric drive while retaining a battery reserve. After 70 km, the car showed 69 km of electric range remaining and 35% battery, with only a small amount of fuel used. On the roughly 30 km descent, regenerative energy added 36 km of estimated electric range, lifting the displayed reserve from 55 to 91 km. The report also notes a comfortable, quiet ride and suspension that handled an unpaved section well.

At the end of the loop, the dashboard showed 85 km of electric range and 666 km of fuel range, a combined 751 km. In Colombia, the tested extended-range Max was listed at COP 154,990,000; the fully electric E-Max was priced at COP 166,990,000. The reviewer says another installment will examine the S07 in a different setting.
