Great Wall Motor (GWM) sold 120,374 vehicles in October 2026, a 15.87% decrease from a year earlier and its third consecutive month of year-on-year decline. Sales rose 4.72% from September, but the annual drop was the steepest so far this year. In the first 10 months, deliveries reached 1,040,676, down 2.42%.
China sales were the main source of weakness: GWM delivered 57,512 vehicles domestically in October, down 33.06% year on year. Domestic sales had fallen for 12 straight months and totaled 501,837 for January-October, a 25.66% decline. Overseas deliveries, by contrast, hit a record 62,862, accounting for 52.22% of October volume. That was 9.98% above the year-earlier level, while the 10-month overseas total rose 37.69% to 538,839—already exceeding all of 2025.
October NEV sales also set a record at 49,499, up 7.25% year on year and representing 41.12% of total deliveries. For the first 10 months, however, NEV sales were down 4.05%. Results varied among GWM’s brands: Ora grew 115.78% year on year to 12,187 vehicles, while Haval, Tank and Wey all posted declines.
GWM is also pursuing expansion in Europe. It plans a Bulgarian production base with annual capacity of 50,000 vehicles, with the Ora 5 scheduled to be the first model. Production is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2027, and the company plans at least 10 new models and variants for Europe over the next two years.
