In Malaysia, the HEV is priced at RM249,800 on the road before insurance—RM20,000 less than the comparable Wey G9 PHEV. Its powertrain pairs a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a four-speed dedicated hybrid transmission and an integrated electric motor, supplied by a 1.67-kWh battery. Combined output is 358 PS and 782 Nm; the stated combined range is about 718 km under the WLTP test cycle.
GWM says the HEV retains equipment found in the PHEV, while doing without the need to plug in for charging. Cabin features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 50-watt wireless phone charger, USB ports in all three rows, acoustic glass and Nappa leather for the first two rows. Second-row occupants get six-way-adjustable zero-gravity seats, powered legrests, ventilation, 10-point massage, a control panel, folding tables, window shades and Isofix points.
ACE 2026 will also host a broad range of other automotive brands. The event’s booking promotions include RM3,000 in vouchers for the first 200 confirmed bookings, while each confirmed booking qualifies for a prize draw with prizes valued at RM57,000 in total.
