iCaur’s V25 electric SUV is expected to lead the brand’s Australian launch in early 2027, potentially arriving near the end of the first quarter. The mid-size model will use an 80kWh lithium iron phosphate battery supplied by CATL, with a preliminary WLTP range claim of about 368km. iCaur Australia product manager Derek Tian said the vehicle’s square shape is one factor behind that figure. The company has also tested the V25 on Australian roads; Tian said a 300km range would be adequate for local highway and town driving.

That claim is lower than several comparable SUVs. Kia’s front-wheel-drive EV5 Air Long Range is rated at 555km WLTP from an 88.1kWh battery, while the rear-wheel-drive BYD Sealion 7 Premium claims 482km from 82.56kWh. Hyundai’s entry-level Ioniq 5 is rated at 570km with an 84kWh battery and standard 19-inch wheels. iCaur has benchmarked the V25 against both the Kia EV5 and Suzuki Jimny.

The V25’s production weight is not confirmed. An Australian evaluation vehicle was listed at 2,120kg tare, while the EV5 Air Long Range is listed at 2,054kg. The V25’s boxy styling is central to its positioning, and iCaur plans to add range-extender versions of the larger V27 and then the V25 in Australia. Those versions use a petrol engine to recharge the battery rather than drive the wheels.
