Jetour’s G700 PHEV has been included among 53 preliminary candidates for the 2027 World Car of the Year award, the main category of the World Car Awards. The nomination adds international attention to the brand as it expands its SUV range in Chile, where it is represented by Andes Motor.
The G700 is the first model in Jetour’s new premium G off-road series. Its plug-in hybrid system is rated at a combined 891 hp and 1,135 Nm of torque, with a combined driving range of more than 1,000 km, according to figures cited by the company. It will be offered in five- and six-seat configurations.
Off-road equipment includes three differential locks, a stated wading depth of up to 900 mm and Tank Turn, a feature designed to help the vehicle rotate 360 degrees around its own axis. Jetour presents the model as a combination of electrification and capability for demanding terrain.
Jetour said it sold 5,800 vehicles in Chile from January through September 2026, up 72.7% year on year, putting it among the country’s eight best-selling SUV brands. World Car Awards driving evaluations are scheduled for November 16–18, 2026. The ten finalists are due to be announced on January 5, 2027, with the winner set to be revealed on March 24 at the New York International Auto Show.
