Chery’s Jetour brand has updated the G700, a large plug-in hybrid off-road SUV it plans to bring to Australia. The refreshed model gets a revised grille, new wheel designs and body-coloured bumpers and side skirts. Huawei’s Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADS 5 driver-assistance system, using radar, sensors and LiDAR, is now available; the mechanical package is unchanged.

Power comes from a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine rated at 155kW and 340Nm, paired with front and rear electric motors. Combined output is 665kW and 1135Nm. The G700 uses an 800V electrical system and is offered in China with either a 34.13kWh LFP battery or a 59.45kWh ternary lithium pack, for claimed CLTC electric ranges of 150km and 260km. It also has full-time four-wheel drive, three differential locks and a 6.6kW vehicle-to-load function.

The SUV measures 5198mm long and is generally sold in China as a five-seater, with a three-row layout also available. Jetour previously expected to launch the G700 in Australia in the second half of 2027, after introducing more affordable models such as the T1 earlier that year. The G700 sits within the brand’s move upmarket into body-on-frame off-road vehicles; Jetour says global sales exceeded 30,000 in the 11 months after launch.
