Jetour is reconsidering whether to bring its F700 plug-in hybrid pickup to Brazil after the model drew attention online and appeared in Brazilian patent filings. The truck was also shown in China at an event attended by Brazilian journalists. Its registration does not confirm a local launch: Jetour Brazil marketing, product and public-relations director Henrique Sampaio said the pickup was not initially part of the company’s plans, but that the response has prompted discussions with dealers and customers.

Jetour sees the market as a difficult fit because Brazilian buyers remain attached to conventional midsize pickups. Sampaio said the company wants to avoid a vehicle that fails to find buyers, pointing to the limited sales performance of BYD’s Shark in Brazil compared with that brand’s other products. The F700 is derived from Jetour’s G700 SUV, which has recently arrived in Brazil, but the pickup’s prospects remain under evaluation.

In China, the F700 pairs a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with two electric motors, one on each axle, for a claimed 904 hp and 115.7 kgfm of torque. Its two-speed hybrid transmission supports a stated 0–100 km/h time of five seconds. A 35.4-kWh CATL battery is rated for 150 km of electric driving under the CLTC cycle; claimed combined range is 1,300 km and fuel consumption is 12.5 km/l. The truck measures 5.49 meters long and has a payload of 181–223 kg, well below the 1,000-kg benchmark cited for Brazilian midsize pickups.
