Jetour, a brand under China’s Chery Group, says the Traveller 7 attracted more than 10,000 reservation requests in the first 30 minutes after its official launch in China. Buyers can choose from conventional petrol versions or a plug-in hybrid (PHEV). The five petrol trims are officially priced at US$20,900–26,900, with promotional prices of US$18,800–24,800. The three PHEV trims list at US$22,800–25,800, or US$21,500–24,500 under the promotion.

The boxy SUV measures 4.827 metres long, 2.006 metres wide and 1.875 metres tall, with a 2.8-metre wheelbase. Its cabin features a 15.6-inch central display, a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel and Jetour OS 3.3, powered by an 8255 processor. Driver assistance is handled by Falcon 500, which uses a Horizon Journey 6M chip rated at 128 trillion operations per second.

Petrol powertrains include a 1.5-litre turbo engine paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, and a 2.0-litre turbo with an eight-speed automatic. The PHEV combines a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine with an electric motor and a dedicated three-speed hybrid transmission. Its 45.12-kWh CATL battery is claimed to provide up to 251 km of electric range under China’s test cycle; Jetour gives a combined petrol-and-electric range of up to 1,400 km. The company also says future models will offer in-cabin lidar sensors and Huawei’s QianKun 5 driver-assistance system.
