Leapmotor launched the A10s in China on October 18, pricing the small electric SUV at 92,800 yuan, or about $13,810. The new version sits 6,000 yuan above the A10 505 LiDAR and adds distinctive styling and comfort equipment rather than changes to its powertrain or range.
It uses a 90-kW front motor and a 53-kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, with a claimed CLTC range of 505 km. The exterior is offered in Mirror Night Black with gunmetal-gray emblems, black 18-inch wheels and a red rear S badge. Inside, a Modern Gray cabin includes faux-suede seats with red detailing, front-seat ventilation and rear ambient lighting.
The A10s has LiDAR, Qualcomm’s SA8295 cockpit chip and an SA8650 driver-assistance chip. Its assistance functions cover urban and highway navigation as well as routes between parking spaces. Charging from 30% to 80% takes about 16 minutes. Its dimensions and five-seat layout are unchanged: 4,270 mm long, 1,810 mm wide and 1,635 mm tall, with a 2,605-mm wheelbase.
The launch comes as A10 deliveries cooled after reaching a record in August. September deliveries fell 24.08% month on month to 24,457, but still made up 23.15% of Leapmotor’s monthly total. The A10 had accumulated 153,423 deliveries by the end of September. Leapmotor delivered 105,656 vehicles globally that month and needs to average about 111,154 monthly deliveries in the fourth quarter to reach its stated annual goal of one million.
