Li Auto will hold its Power Day in China at 7:30 p.m. Beijing time on October 20, 2026, to present recent electric-vehicle technology developments. The automaker has not yet specified which technologies or performance data it will disclose. The event comes as it broadens the use of components developed in-house, including batteries.

Founder and CEO Li Xiang says Li Auto began developing batteries internally in 2020, while continuing to work with specialist suppliers. The company has said its own batteries are already used in the Li L8, Li L6 and Li i8, and that it intends to extend their use across its lineup. Its battery work spans 5C cells, packs and battery-management systems. Production is handled by a 50-50 joint venture with Sunwoda, established in 2025.

The event is scheduled eight days before the updated five-seat Li i6 is set to launch on October 28. Li Auto says the SUV will use an in-house 5C battery and a Mach assisted-driving chip, with deliveries in China expected to begin in early November. The company has also described plans to connect battery-cell, pack, thermal-management, electric-drive and vehicle-control systems, while using its Lianshan monitoring system to trace quality data through production and vehicle use.

Li Auto delivered 31,817 vehicles in September, down 6.29% year over year. Deliveries for the first nine months of 2026 reached 293,436, a 1.25% decline from the same period a year earlier.
