A global-market Luxeed Stormax, also known as the RX, was spotted at Chery Group’s test-drive facility in Wuhu, China, prompting speculation that this may be the version considered for Indonesia. The vehicle looked noticeably different from the China-market Stormax, particularly at the front. Its appearance was more angular and sporty, with simpler exterior colors and changes intended to improve aerodynamics. Luxeed has not confirmed that this is the model planned for Indonesia, and some equipment, including its operating system, could be adapted for different markets.
The Stormax measures 5,020 mm long, 2,007 mm wide and 1,585 mm tall, with a 3,000 mm wheelbase. It is shown with 20- or 22-inch wheels and wider tires at the rear. At the back, its combination lamps use 10,000 crystal-like elements. The car also features active suspension and a body with torsional rigidity above 50,000 Nm per degree; 90.5% of its body materials are high-strength steel and aluminum alloy.
Cabin equipment includes an AI cockpit, a head-up display, four-zone audio, 19 speakers and a large smartphone-connected screen. The reported electric-motor output is 460 kW and 775 Nm, with a 250 km/h top speed and a 0–100 km/h time of 3.9 seconds. A CATL battery is said to deliver 550 km of WLTP range, while charging from 30% to 80% takes 15 minutes. These figures describe the reported global model; the final Indonesian specification remains unconfirmed.
