Chery and Huawei have outlined a global expansion plan for Luxeed, their premium vehicle brand, with six models intended for overseas markets between 2026 and 2030. Launched in 2023, Luxeed combines Chery’s automotive expertise with Huawei’s digital and intelligent-driving technologies. Its current China lineup includes the S7 sedan, R7 crossover, V9 minivan and RX SUV.

The first overseas models will be renamed versions of vehicles already sold in China: the V9 will become the LLounge, and the RX will be marketed as the Stormax. Australia is among the first announced destinations, with the models expected there around mid-2027. Europe is also part of the longer-term plan, though the article does not specify launch dates or countries.

Chery also plans to develop four additional SUVs specifically for global markets. Provisionally identified as the 3, 5, 7 and 9, they are intended to sit above the Stormax in luxury and exclusivity. Together with the LLounge and Stormax, they will form three product lines.

The six vehicles are expected to offer three powertrain types: battery-electric, plug-in hybrid and range-extender hybrid. Final specifications, power outputs and driving ranges have not yet been confirmed. Luxeed is distinct from Chery’s other premium marque, Exeed, and the article says there is no confirmation of sales in Colombia or elsewhere in Latin America.
