MG Motor Indonesia launched the MGS6 EV in Indonesia on October 14. The electric SUV is set to compete with the Deepal S07 and Xpeng G6. Its price has not yet been officially announced, but the expected starting point is around Rp 550 million on the road in Jakarta, with two trim levels planned.
The MGS6 EV will be offered with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. MG lists output of 361 PS and 540 Nm of torque; the AWD version is claimed to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds. A CATL battery provides a stated NEDC range of 605 km, and charging from 30 to 80 percent takes 32 minutes.
Safety equipment includes seven airbags, MG Pilot, and 16 ADAS functions. The vehicle has also received a five-star NCAP rating. Pre-orders are open, with a booking deposit of Rp 5 million to Rp 10 million. MG says it plans to assemble the MGS6 EV at its Cikarang factory in West Java.
