Firefly, Nio's compact-car brand, has opened orders in China for a beach-inspired trim named Club Spiaggia, limited to 666 examples. It lists at 135,800 yuan (about $20,030), a 13.4% step up from the entry Free Edition at 119,800 yuan, and sits 10,000 yuan above the Glow Edition. Under the battery-as-a-service scheme, the upfront price falls to 95,800 yuan plus 399 yuan per month for the battery.

Nothing mechanical has changed: the 42-kWh pack and 420 km CLTC range carry over, so the extra outlay buys aesthetics alone — coastal-blue paint, striped graphics, white multi-spoke wheels, and a cabin finished with light-toned seats, full-width floor mats, cabana stripes with orange highlights and a bespoke infotainment wallpaper. Display cars reach stores from August 29.

This is the sixth limited-run theme Firefly has built around its single production model, following Nomadic Maillard, Night Creature, Pegasus Rhapsody, Retro Futurism and Pixel Player. The Pixel Player, priced identically in June but capped at 333 units, sold out in under eight hours. In July the brand also introduced the design-led Halo line, whose first variant, Habitat, starts at 133,300 yuan. The steady cadence of small-batch editions keeps the young brand visible and lets it gauge how much buyers will pay for styling differences.

Firefly shipped 5,771 cars in July, up 143.9% year-on-year but down 16.9% from June, bringing its seven-month total to 34,943 units. Since August 7, its vehicles have also gained access to Nio's fifth-generation battery-swap network for the first time.
