Xiaomi is testing two versions of its SU7 Ultra electric sedan at Germany’s Nürburgring, according to the report. The cars appear to use different exterior setups: one has more aggressive aerodynamic treatment, while the other looks closer to a conventional configuration. Xiaomi has not confirmed what distinguishes the test cars or whether either represents a planned production update.

The SU7 Ultra produces more than 1,500 hp. In 2025, it set the Nürburgring’s fastest lap for a production electric car, but Porsche has since taken that record with a modified Taycan Turbo GT.

The report suggests Xiaomi may be developing the SU7 Ultra further, potentially with more power or technical changes. Those possibilities remain speculation; no upgrades, lap times or release plans have been announced. The testing may be connected to an effort to reclaim the record, but Xiaomi has not stated that as its objective. The source also says the timing of any announcement and the model’s eventual commercial availability in Europe remain unknown.
