BYD has rolled out the 2027 model year of its compact electric crossover, officially introducing the Yuan UP Feichi Edition in China on 17 September 2026. The same car sells abroad as the Atto 2, including in Thailand. The headline change is a new battery option rated for up to 501 km on the CLTC cycle, while the starting price stays at RMB 74,800 and qualifying trade-in buyers can claim up to RMB 5,000 in support.
Mechanically, the range has been simplified: all five trims now share one front-mounted permanent-magnet motor producing 95 PS and 180 Nm, with the punchier 178 PS unit from the outgoing car dropped. The model keeps its e-Platform 3.0 bones and cell-to-body battery integration, with MacPhstrut front suspension and a torsion-beam rear axle. Three LFP Blade Battery sizes from BYD's FinDreams subsidiary are offered — 32 kWh, 45.12 kWh and a new 51.13 kWh pack — good for roughly 220 km, 300 km and 370 km respectively on the WLTC cycle, and DC charging from 30 to 80 percent takes about 30 minutes.
Cabin updates focus on practicality: the gear selector migrates to a steering-column stalk, freeing storage beneath the 50W wireless charging pad on the console. New Energetic Yellow and Oxygen Blue paints and low-drag 17-inch wheels on the top trim freshen the looks, while the unchanged 4,310 mm-long body carries a panoramic glass roof with an electric sunshade, ventilated and heated front seats, an NFC digital key and a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen running the DiLink 100 system beside an 8.8-inch driver display. Folding the 60:40 rear bench opens up 1,320 litres of cargo space, and upper trims add the DiPilot C package with Highway Navigation on Autopilot and automated parking, backed by BYD damage coverage under set conditions.
Pricing spans RMB 74,800 to 104,800 across five grades, with launch perks worth up to RMB 11,199. The car remains a strong seller at home: 22,958 units were delivered in China in August 2026, up 13.2% month on month and 16.9% year on year, accounting for roughly 12.5% of BYD's domestic passenger-car sales.
