Aito plans to equip its overseas SUVs with Bosch’s driver-assistance, smart-cockpit and chassis technologies, according to a report by Chinese media outlet 36Kr. The models named are the M6, M7, M8 and M9. Bosch has begun development work, and mass production of highway navigation-on-autopilot functions is tentatively scheduled for September 2027.

The move would mark a change from Aito’s China-market approach, where Huawei’s driver-assistance systems and HarmonySpace cockpit are key features. Huawei has given automakers a leading role in overseas projects, and Aito’s Bosch arrangement is expected to reduce its reliance on Huawei’s intelligent systems abroad. Bosch’s full suite has not previously been used in a vehicle, the report said.

Seres, Aito’s co-developer with Huawei, said in October that the brand plans to enter Europe in fall 2027 with four SUVs named Aito 9, 8, 7 and 6, corresponding to the M9, M8, M7 and M6 in China. Aito has also signed a February cooperation agreement with a UAE dealer for local sales and after-sales service, and the Middle East is another possible destination. The company has said it is working with partners on localizing driver-assistance and parking functions.

The overseas push comes as Huawei and Seres adjust their roles in Aito’s business. Separately, Huawei-Chery brand Luxeed is planning expansion into the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Europe, with overseas models expected to use Chery’s own vehicle electronics and intelligent-driving systems. The report links Chinese brands’ growing overseas ambitions to pressure in their home market; HIMA deliveries fell 29.15% year on year to 37,490 in September.
