AVATR announced its European expansion in Paris on October 11, 2026, naming Norway and Spain as its first markets for 2027. The brand says the 06T and 07L will lead its European debut, with six models planned over the next three years. The lineup is set to cover mid-size and large SUVs as well as shooting-brake-style vehicles.

The company describes its backing as a combination of Changan Automobile’s manufacturing capabilities, CATL’s battery technology and the research and development resources of an ICT company. Its design team is split between Munich and Shanghai and includes people from more than 30 countries.

AVATR says it already operates in 70 countries and regions and has more than 280,000 owners. Its goal for 2030 is to reach 110 markets and generate more than half of its sales overseas. In Norway, the brand has partnered with importer RSA, which plans two flagship stores in Oslo and additional experience centres elsewhere in the country.
