BAIC began commercial operations in Curicó and Talca during September, adding two locations in Chile’s Maule Region. The expansion is part of the brand’s effort to widen its national reach and make its vehicle lineup available to more customers beyond the Santiago metropolitan area. BAIC is represented in Chile by Grupo Automotriz Magna.

In Curicó, dealer Coadig has opened a BAIC showroom at Peña 1030. In Talca, the brand’s new customer location is operated with Italmotors at 6 Sur 2710. The partners described the additions as opportunities to grow their businesses and strengthen BAIC’s presence in the region.

With the two openings, BAIC’s dealer network now spans 17 Chilean cities: Antofagasta, Calama, La Serena, Viña del Mar, Valparaíso, Santiago, Rancagua, San Fernando, Curicó, Talca, Chillán, Concepción, Los Ángeles, Temuco, Puerto Montt, Punta Arenas and Valdivia. The announcement focuses on expanding sales coverage; it does not provide details of new vehicle launches or sales targets.
