BYD’s Dolphin Mini GL has joined the 2027 model-year lineup in Brazil, with metallic gray as its only reported change. Dealers contacted in the São Paulo region said the entry-level electric hatch is also available to retail customers for R$110,000, with delivery estimated at 15 to 19 business days. The automaker had not confirmed the changes by the time of publication.
The GL retains its smaller battery and more modest equipment list, while the GS receives Pirelli tires, a rear spoiler used on the European version and, with the new paint, a gray interior option. Both trims share a 75 hp front motor and the same 0–100 km/h time of 14.9 seconds, with a top speed of 130 km/h. The GL’s 30.08 kWh battery gives it an Inmetro-rated range of 224 km; the GS has a 38 kWh pack and a 280 km rating. Both support 6.6 kW AC charging and vehicle-to-load power, while DC charging peaks at 30 kW for the GL and 40 kW for the GS.
The update arrives amid strong Brazilian sales. The Dolphin Mini recorded 9,385 registrations in September, its best monthly result and enough to rank third among all vehicles, behind the Fiat Strada and Volkswagen Polo. It passed 60,000 sales from January through September, while September retail sales reached 5,886 units.
