BYD has outlined plans to expand its Philippine lineup and charging infrastructure in 2027, with the Ti7 SUV, Denza Z9 GT and Flash Charging technology among the announced developments. The Ti7 is a plug-in hybrid soft-roader that the company says is coming to the market next year. A tested version used two electric motors, with about 483 hp and 620 Nm, and an estimated driving range of more than 700 km. BYD has not confirmed Philippine specifications or whether a seven-seat version will be offered. In China, the model reportedly averages 20,000 sales per month.
The Denza Z9 GT is due in the Philippines in the first quarter of 2027. It will be offered as a plug-in hybrid or battery-electric vehicle; the article cites output above 1,000 hp and 1,200 Nm. Local configuration and prices are still to be announced.
BYD also plans to introduce Flash Charging in the Philippines next year. Its T-shaped station has two connectors rated for up to 1,500 kW each. With compatible BYD and Denza models using Blade Battery 2.0, charging from 10% to 97% is claimed to take nine minutes; at -30°C, a 20%-to-97% charge is said to take 12 minutes. BYD says it had opened 10,000 such stations across 325 Chinese cities by August. Other EVs can use the equipment, but their charging rates depend on their own capabilities. The report presents the network as a potential rival to ACMobility's charging offer.
