In Brazil, online listings are bringing the BYD Seal closer in price to the Honda Civic Advanced Hybrid. BYD’s electric sedan has an official price of R$299,990, but a Webmotors listing cited in the report offered it for R$269,990. That leaves a gap of R$3,490 against the Civic, priced at R$266,500. Other Seal 2026/2027 offers on the platform were listed at R$252,000 and R$260,000.

The Seal uses two electric motors, one on each axle, for all-wheel drive and a combined 531 hp, according to BYD. The company claims a 0–100 km/h time of 3.8 seconds, a top speed of 180 km/h and 60.2 kgfm of torque. Its 82.56 kWh Blade battery is rated for 372 km under Brazil’s Inmetro vehicle-labeling program. Charging capability is listed at up to 6.6 kW on AC and 150 kW on DC; the car also has a VTOL function for powering external equipment.

The 4.80-metre sedan has a 400-litre rear trunk and a 53-litre front compartment. Standard equipment cited includes a 15.6-inch multimedia display, a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel, head-up display and driver-assistance features. The report places the discount amid a market dominated by SUVs: they accounted for 58.3% of new-car registrations from January to September 2026, compared with 9.1% for sedans. Partial registration data cited for the Seal showed 55 units, versus 179 for the BMW 320 and 115 for the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
